The corridors of
MEDICAL COLLEGE, CALICUT
welcomed me as any other starry eyed fresher. Little did I know that this was going to be the key part of my life; new atmosphere away from home; new people; new outlook; new everything...
Life didn't seem to as easy as ever. Those looks from the seniors really scared the hell out of me (Little did I know they were gonna turn out to be real buddies later on). But slowly as time went by I seemed to realize that wasting every moment in this place would turn out to be a big mistake.
O.K fasten your seat belts and lets take a small tour into this exciting 3 years. So
BON VOYAGE
I still can't forget the 2 giant blackboards that kept staring at me on 5th of November 1998. Yes, I am talking about the Biochemistry lecture Hall or as we call it 'Biochem hall'. it would be amazing to know if there would be anybody who wouldn't have dozed of to those boring lectures (sorry lecturers). How can we ever forget this church where we were christened as the 42nd Batch.
Life was not always a bed of roses, especially if you are a hostelate, and more so if you happen to stay in a common hall. With 25 of them from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, life in common hall was just stupendous. Those night chats, cricketing, getting ragged of by seniors are not mere events to be just forgotten

"Let laughter flee,
Let conversation cease,
This is where death
delights to help the living."
These words echoed our minds on the first day to the dissection hall, another day which any medico is definitely not going to forget.

First year was at its peak of excitement. new friends , new environment, It was hi time that we set our chores aside and get together to enjoy. Yes it was time for "GETTO 42"",our get together (odd name huh!!! maybe we wanted to be different). New talents, new personalities were literally pouring out as the show proceeded, the main attraction being the enchanting dance show by our girls.
One thing which I will regret forever is me missing the first year tour to Ooty, Kodaikanal. So I don't have much to say about it. but one thing was sure, that this tour really brought the class together binding each of us with a special bond.
