Here's one person I just can't describe in one or two phrases; Her multi faceted character itself has redefined our relationship all along, A strict disciplinarian with an irresistible zest for life; an impulsive character, but with a wisdom ahead of her years...she's always been unusual, uncommon....unpredictable...
The very first impression was a mixture of awe, admiration and reverence; her persona ranged from a bubbling child to an imperial prefect; she could command the respect of the whole class and still strike a chord deep within....a compelling presence manifesting itself in small, special ways, very much her own stamp.
She valued commitment; and was a perfectionalist to the core. But there was this earthly readiness about her which made her readily approachable. Her spirited involvement in almost all class activities made them all the more memorable-The class picnic, the send-offs...she had been the very essence of the class.
Came XIIth, she had responsibility to shoulder. The post of the school leader bought with it a whole lot of responsibilities. The metamorphosis was evident; nevertheless she maintained that vulnerable exuberance all the way, be it the excursion (jumba jumba), the Teachers day, New year celebrations....
She was all new, Her attending the entrance classes with us added lust to those dull evenings (how can we forget that hilarious embarrassment after Rajendran Sir's class) how we talked, argued, shouted, and eventually made up....
The last 3 months too had that magic, albeit in the midst of exams and the like; visiting Kavita Miss's baby, those gift shopping sprees, the XIIth send
off, we received. Thanx to sandhya, these were much more than mere events..
Time sped by like lighting; but it wasn't time yet to bid farewell..far from it a new chapter was on the anvil; the portals of Calicut Medical College received us as starry eyed freshers always falling into trouble-those confrontation with seniors, the leg-pulling from friends, the escapades....all weaving themselves into the fabric of a colorful college life. I was glad she was enjoying this new face of life: the adventure and excitement of the new world lent her wings with which she soared like a carefree butterfly from one exotic flower to another..true-all-new-experience, new faces, new encounters...
Chapter after chapter flipped by in quick succession, we may have changed, along along our judging into the adult world, but the way doesn't seem to be all that long, coz right from the beginning, I have perceived her presence matching me ,step by step, all the way...
And I am pretty sure that this story will continue on and on and on and...........
